Fishing in Ohiopyle
The Middle Yough in Ohiopyle was recently named one of the best trout fishing rivers in Pennsylvania.
If you are an avid fisherman, the Youghiogheny River provides excellent wilderness trout fishing.
Fingerling Trout, in accordance with the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, are stocked throughout the entire section of river that falls within the park.
On the nine-mile stretch of river from Ramcat to the PA 381 bridge in Ohiopyle, an all-tackle trophy trout program exists.
As for the angler who prefers smaller stream fishing, we recommend Meadow Run.
Meadow Run is a little over two mile section of river that is designated for delayed harvest and artificial lures only.
